In August 2012 Bungy Japan was invited to operate Japan’s highest Bridge Bungy Jump (77 meters) in Itsuki-Mura, Kumamoto-ken Kyushu.
Itsuki-mura is a small picturesque village with a population of just over 500 residents. It is a beautiful little town nestled in a spectacular valley in the middle of Kyushu, the Kawabe river that runs through the town was voted as having the clearest water in all of Japan. A few years ago the Japanese Government cancelled a Hydro Dam project in the area just before it was due to be completed and the local town is now looking at new ways to boost tourism to the area.
Bungy Japan is working closely with the local council and tourism board to help develop its tourism destination planning to revitalize the town and are excited to be involved in the project.
Due to the success of the event in August of 2012 we are now in the process of planning a slightly longer event in mid March of 2013.
